B&B Ghent: lodging where dogs are welcome too

Hostess Myriame Dolders and her dog Henry would love to welcome you and your pet in her beautifully restored 18th-century lodge and B&B in the historical city center of Ghent.

Bed and Breakfast & Lodge Myriame Dolders

In the bed and breakfast there are three rooms and next door there is the lovely self catering lodge. Both lodgings are located just a few hundred meters walk from the Castle of the Counts in an interesting and quiet area, right in the historical heart of Ghent. One B&B room on the ground floor is suitable for dogs or other pets. The lodge is for dogs - or any other pets - appropriate as well.

B&B and Lodge

B&B “Myriame Dolders”, in the historical center of Ghent, is the result of the conversion of a building where since the 18th century, housed a shop. The house has still all the historic features combined with contemporary comfort.

There are three bed and breakfast rooms and a lovely self catering little house, both located just two minutes walk from the Castle of the Counts.

Your dog is welcome

I have a labrador myself and therefore I understand that your pet is part of your family. Why should you leave it as you would like to visit Gent, Flanders or Belgium? A pet-friendly B&B room is located right next to the front door, so you do not disturb the other guests, when you go out for a walk with your dog. And since the apartment is a fully self contained house, your pet disturbs no one there at all. All we ask is that pets are not to be left unattended. There are no extra charges for your pets.

Each room is self contained and has is own authentic atmosphere

Art historian & former professional guide

As art historian I have a passion for old buildings and I love to renovate old and rundown houses so that my guests can enjoy the atmosphere of yeasteryear, without sacrificing contemporary comfort. The Abrahams house is a good example of how a dilapidated house can become a gem. It testifies to my passion and love to the former glory to resurrect from its ashes: quality design, attention to detail and modern comforts without the loss of the historical character. Every morning I serve a varied breakfast with fresh seasonal and regional – often homemade – products. Upon arrival, I will let you know where you can find the most beautiful and interesting places and activities in the city: for the classics, but also for current activities taking place in Ghent and in Flanders. And if you develop interest in specific issues during your stay, I can rely on my professional knowledge as an art historian. And if necessary, I will consult my extensive library to answer your questions.

What our clients say:

Fantastic breakfasts

What a fantastic location and experience. Two marvellous old houses dating from 1730 furnished with much "Art Nouveau" furniture --and very comfortable bed ! It is a really superb central location and Myriame is a very generous and interesting host. Everything you want in a Bed and Breakfast and none of the "Five *" excesses you don't need. ! Fantastic breakfasts, one morning a lovely cheese omelette, fresh bread lovely jams and home made pastries. Great coffee. Myriame is a great host and we are looking forward to returning.

Great place, well situated.

Great place, well situated. Very friendly people and a warm welcome. Feels like home away from home. Ideal as a resting place in this overwhelming city. Lots of culture, art and beauty. Not a bad word for this place!

Gorgeous & comfortable

This is our second visit to Myriame's B&B and it was fantastic again. Once again Myriame made us feel welcome and shared her knowledge of the local area with us. The room is gorgeous, with lots of character and comfortable beds on three levels. We stayed in the Burgundy room, there were four of us and we were very comfortable. The freshly made breakfast was gorgeous! It is a great location for walking into the centre only a few minutes away. Thanks to Myriame and Henry for making us feel so welcome yet again.
